Double Eagle miss-diagnosed a lack of engine power problem after telling me they were fully qualified to troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar
engines. I was charged $2,500.00 for engine work that did not solve the problem. When confronted with the information that the work had not
solved the problem, the business owner became verbally abusive toward me, and blamed the problem with the repair on my wife�s bad attitude,
and generally behaved in a very unprofessional manner.
Subsequently, another shop solved the problem by replacing a clogged air filter. This was a very simple problem that Double Eagle should have
found, and would have found if proper troubleshooting procedure had been followed. Their troubleshooting method is limited to a test drive and
guessing at a problem. The engine ECM was never checked for trouble codes, and the mechanics lack of understanding of engine operation and
incompetence resulted in the incorrect diagnosis of the problem.
The day the repair was scheduled, the mechanic performing the repair was absent half the day for a scheduled doctor�s appointment, so the work
had to be rescheduled for another day. No explanation from Double Eagle on the cause of the delay, and because my RV was blocked on the lot
by other RVs I still could not leave so the entire day was wasted. After work did start, a tool that should have been on hand had to be ordered,
resulting in further delay. While I was waiting I did get to observe the other mechanics wandering aimlessly around the lot, searching for tools and
parts, swearing at each other, badmouthing the owner, and generally doing very little work.
This business in unprofessional, disorganized, and incompetent. Be warned, stay away!

Double Eagle was excellent to work with. I was able to get in the next day. The diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts. I got in immediately when they received the parts from Norcold. Really great group to work with. Highly recommended. They are an authorized service location for about a dozen different manufactures and work with the rest.
