| Service Performed: | No start on Volvo 610 HDT (Volvo engine). Diagnosed as starter issue. Service Mgr attempted to repair problem with solenoid/starter. Unable to do so and replacement was not available locally, although the parts dept spent considerable time attempting to locate one. They even found a local electrical shop that could have rebuilt the starter that afternoon, but recommended against it as there had been quality issues with that shop. On their advice we elected to have the starter shipped overnight. They removed old starter on the evening shift and were ready to go when the new one arrived the next morning. We were back on the road by 11 AM | ||
| Evaluation of Service Performed: |
Staff was more than accommodating. Took truck into shop immediately upon arrival after problem on the road. They did everything possible to get us back on the road that day, when they were unable to do so they allowed us to camp there overnight. They even provided a truck to move our trailer closer to the building where we could plug in and took us to Wal-Mart for groceries.
Mark Barber and his staff were top notch and, although they are a Volvo/Izuzu dealer, I would recommend them for any brand HDT service. |
