Work Done on:   Class A - Gasoline
Service Performed:   My wife & I just got back from our 5 day trip testing the new system you
installed.

FWIW to you...

I had hired you to install 2 things in our motorhome:
Replace our OEM converter, with a new 4 stage smart converter & a
battery monitor system. Unfortunately, after you left, I had to go back over
your install of the battery monitor system because you installed it
incorrectly and it was not working properly.

What was wrong:
1) The jumper cable you made from the battery negative post to the left side of
the shunt was with a way under gauge cable and you also left the existing
battery negative cable on that same battery post, when the directions clearly
showed there was only supposed to be (1) cable on that post and that was
the jumper.

2) Then, remember when you left and had to come back because I texted
you the diagram and you forgot to install on the other side of the shunt
the other cable? When you came back, you made and installed a green
wire from the right side of the shunt down to the bus. That cable also was
not only a to small of a gauge cable, but that cable wasn't necessary. You
were to instead, taken the other existing negative battery cable on the battery
that I mentioned above and moved it to the right side of the shunt. That
negative cable already ran down to the bottom bus and that's the cable that
belonged on the right side of the shunt.

This procedure would have been correct and the battery monitor wiring
would have had a proper "loop" of 12V current and the readings on the
monitor would have been correct. Plus, the proper thickness of these cables
would not of had a risk of over heating or causing "current resistance".
When I posted pic's online of this final install, experienced eyes spotted
these mistakes right off the bat and the false readings we were getting on
the monitor confirmed it.

Your help on installing the converter went fine and worked as it was
supposed to. But when you moved to the Tri-Metric Battery Monitor, do
you remember me asking you, "BTW...what is the purpose of this shunt"?
And you said, "honestly I don't know". That gave me some pause and
that's why after you left I reviewed what you had done and that's when I
discovered the things you missed. You came back to try to correct it, but
it still wasn't right.

As I mentioned to you, I have a lot of people following me and discussing
this install online and it's too bad it turned out this way. Since I had posted
from the very beginningonlinethat you were going to be the company
that was going to help me with this install, this whole job is out there now
and the hassle of what I had to do afterwards to fix it.

I've owned my business for 29 yrs. and have been very successful and
have a great reputation in the Houston area. From time to time, I'll run into
something that a client wants me to do that I'm either unsure about or "I
think that's a little above my pay grade" and tell them I'm probably not
your guy for this job. That's a lot better for them and me, than me trying
to fake it, or wandering into something I'm unsure of and hoping it comes
out all right, risking my impeccable reputation, getting a bad review and
possibly putting them at risk.

Mechanically I'm very qualified and experienced to do most work on my
motorhome and I've spent the last 18 months getting it ready to travel
around the country. It's our house that we live it. You are the first tech I
have ever hired to help me work on my rig. I paid you for this electrical job
because I was unsure of my electrical abilities and you advertise yourself
as "Certified Mobile Tech and a Pro" and you told me you had no problem
taking on this job. People like me are counting on you to do the job right.
I'm just thankful I have a host of online support that took the time to
methodically review what was done and then help me figure out exactly
what was needed to correct the problem.

It's working fine now after their intervention and helping me fix the issues.

This above review is what's online now.
