A warning about Coachworx in Clearwater, FL - all their repairs are done on a time and material basis and you may be forced to pay before the work is complete. Even if you get a written estimate, they will still charge you based on time and materials. They gave me a written estimate for $2,100, but the bill was over $4,000 (these are not the exact numbers, I don't want Coachworx coming after me)! And they didn't claim that they ran into unexpected issues, they just said the technician took longer than they expected to complete the work.
I went with Coachworx because their estimate was cheaper than Marathon, but in the end, I paid a lot more at Coachworx.
It took Coachworx a few weeks to complete the work, and every week the big boss would chase me down in the parking lot and demand payment for the work Coachworx had completed so far. I resisted because I wanted to pay after the work was completed to my satisfaction, but he made it clear that unless I paid they would stop work.
I have to admit that they did a good job on the repairs, but they left grease/grime marks on the carpet and upholstery and I will have to have these professionally cleaned. I brought this to the big bosses attention and he said that it is impossible to work inside a bus without getting things greasy and that most of these spots were there before they started work.
I asked for an explanation (nicely, no shouting) about the huge delta between the written estimate and the bill and the grease/grime marks, but the big boss got very heated and intimidating and would not give an inch. He told me that he wasn't releasing the bus until I paid. He also told me that I shouldn't have a bus if I couldn't afford to maintain it.
Coachworx is highly recommended by the Prevost crowd, but Coachworx is not the place to go if you are on a budget.

Excellent. Service Rep took the time to explain what needed to be done and then did it at a fair price and within the time frame promised. You can't ask for more than that.
