  Date of Service:   10/16/2008
  Company Contact:   Craig McCarthy
Work Done on:   Class A - Diesel
Service Performed:   Repaired nasty tear in driver's seat back due to slideout rubbing it when overlooked positioned too far back. Removed temporary stitching done earlier that unfortunately made patching job harder, then patched/welded and resurfaced/color matched the damaged area.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   Absolutely superb, especially given the nature of the damage and the complications caused by seamstress adding stitching earlier that same day (cost me $75 just for the unneeded sewing) and the curved nature of the damaged area of seat. Surprised even the repairman how well it turned out, as the initial prognosis was there would be some visible mark because of the stitching holes, etc. Took 40 minutes or so to delicately remove stitching and weld the torn edges together with backing, etc. Then the careful finish application to mask the holes and weld, followed by color re-texturing that was intricately done to blend into surrounding good material.

Bottom line: a 5 inch wide open cut in the top corner of the seat is virtually invisible! You'd never know anything happened. Did not expect things to turn out that well. $75 for the unnecessary stitch job and $90 for the super final repair. Lesson 1: watch where your front seats are set before moving any nearby slideout ; Lesson 2: don't let them talk you into stitching a leather or vinyl tear before this guy works his magic. Thanks Craig!
