  Date of Service:   7/31/2017
Work Done on:   Class A - Gasoline
Service Performed:   Removal of carpet, vinyl, sofa, dinette in preparation for new installations.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   My husband and I met with Lou of Recreation Camper Sales to discuss renovations of our 5-year old Class A Bounder RV, which
serves as our primary residence. Timing was of the essence, since we had a 3-month trip planned for mid-August to see
Maine and the fall leaves in New England, We were given a quote of $7,140 on May 2 to remove vinyl flooring, carpet, sofa &
dinette, and convert the bed from queen to king. We paid a deposit of $3,570, and the work was scheduled to begin June 2
and be finished in mid-July.

On June 21 we complained that no progress was being made and Lou assured us there was sufficient time to finish the work
before August. On July 3rd we expressed concern again on the lack of progress. On July 18 at his request, we had our new
leather sofa delivered because he said he was ready for it. Throughout July we continued to express concern to Lou that no
progress was being made, and he asked for our drop-dead date. We gave him the date of August 7, and he said he would meet
it.

On the last day of July, we visited the shop and saw that no work progress had been made in over two weeks, and our $4200
worth of materials was sitting on the warehouse floor. The only work done on the RV in two months time was the removal of
the carpet, vinyl, sofa, and dinette. The floor was left sticky with glue that had not been removed. Our quote had included
sealing the floor with enamel, and this could not be done without glue removal.

This company touts its years of experience, but did not seem to know how to remove the glue remaining on the floor after
the vinyl removal. After two months only two weeks work had been done. We were forced to cancel our entire vacation, get
the RV back, pay for a mover to pick up our sofa, carpet, and vinyl tile and deliver to storage, and then arrange for
another company to do the work. The new company told us that they have received other jobs pulled from ReCreation for the
same reason.

Notice his estimates say at the bottom that deposits are not refundable, and he will not be rushed to complete work, his
way of getting around not completing a job in a reasonable time. Lou said he had not been able to work because of the heat,
and his men wouldnt do anything if he was not there because they feared doing work in a manner Lou might now like. We
believe he will say anything to get work in the shop so he always has some work to do to keep his crew busy.

We feel scammed by this company. Promises made are not kept. Because of his business dealings, we will suffer additional
cost as well as the loss of use of our principal home for five months.

Although we found some good reviews on some sites, which we relied upon, we later found terrible reviews on another,
including one where he kept the RV a whole year. Im going to post this one on many sites so no one has to suffer and be
stressed as we have.

Service Performed:   I had a local Itasca dealership install my Dish Antenna atop my 2007 Itasca motorhome in 2008. Since then, I have been fighting water leaks. The
person that worked for them decided to cut several holes in my roof and ran coax across the top to the bedroom TV. They drilled screws all along the
roof to mount the cable that WAS NOT NEEDED. Winnebago, Itasca has everything pre wired from the factory. You just have to find the cable inside.

ReCreation Custom RV Rebuilders, Inc. in Chesapeake Virginia did a beautiful repair. All the cables inside had been cleaned up. The cable across the
roof is gone and the holes are all sealed. The TV looks much clearer when on Dish, DVD or local antenna.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   ReCreation Custom R.V. Rebuilders did an excellent job. All those cables I did not need. Caused signal leakage and interference. If you need ANY
repair work to your camper, RV I would suggest you give them a call.

Service Performed:   I should have written this years ago and have been remiss. I've had multiple things repaired at this establishment and each time I drive off I'm amazed at the quality of work and honesty of the owners.

I've had body work (right front wheel well and side) done here after a right front tire blow-out in 07 and Lou did a tremendous repair job, quality workmanship and spot on paint matching.

Additionally in 09 I had some delamination work done in the bedroom. Lou once again worked his magic and upon job completion you could not tell that any work had ever been done in the rear of the M/H after this extensive repair.

Just had my AC's replaced with new AC/Heatpumps and once again a superior job.

Lou and Sharlene run a top notch family business who really care about their customers and clientele. If in need of repair service in Virginia Beach I highly recommend them.

Thanks for your awesome work Lou and Sharlene!!!

Service Performed:   Repaired a warranty faulty slide.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   Excellent: We didn't buy locally after being "oops we forgot to charge you for this" from a large Peninsula dealer who was going to order a factory built RV for us. After we had a warranty issue with the slide, and the factory repair facility didn't want to see us for "at least" 3 months we asked the factory if we could use ReCreation Custom RV Rebuilders to repair our units, as we had used them before and was very satisfied. The factory reps agreed Thanks Thor!!, I agreed to pay for the work and Thor agreed to reimburse me. We asked Lou, the owner, his opinion and he told us exactly what we needed, ordered the parts and called us and installed it as soon as the parts were delivered. He and his wife spoke and emailed the factory, as did I, about the job. They went well beyond what I expected. It was repaired and works like new! Great people to work with and they did a great job. I highly recommend.

Service Performed:   Repaired and repainted fiberglass section and repainted. Replaced window. Sealed compartment doors from water leaks
Evaluation of Service Performed:   After hitting the soffit of a building, the coach suffered a 2-3 inch gash in the side and ruined a window. Lou expertly fixed the gash and both he and Sharlene spent many hours ensuring that the paint that was applied matched the paint on the coach exactly. Lou and Sharlene are both experts in the RV repair business and excel at customer satisfaction. In addition to the collision repairs, Lou was the only one in the Hampton Roads area who correctly diagnosed the cause of a water leak in two compartments. He also successfully corrected a defect in the motor cover after two other local businesses failed to do so. Lou and Sharlene are sensitive to planned trips and were always willing to work around planned trips. Both are very knowledgeable about all aspects of the RV business and I highly recommend them.
