We had an oil spray issue with our 08 Motorhome; oil was spray from parts unknown, all over the engine compartment, and our tow vehicle. We found the spray (and resulting drips) when we stopped in a park. Since it was in the 90's, the spray continued to drip down and out the coach, onto the pad where we were parked. Very embarrassing when I had to go to the office and tell them.

I called late on a Thursday afternoon and they were able to get me in first thing Friday morning. They even called just before quitting time on Thursday to confirm the appointment. When I arrived, they had all the information I had provided on the phone, so I didn't have to go over it again. The tech who was scheduled to work on the coach had gone on a service call to St. George, Utah, so they put me in front of a scheduled service on another rig.......standing by their earlier promise to get started first thing in the morning. Turns out a gasket in the oil filler tube assembly had failed. Replaced the gasket under warranty, steam cleaned the gunk off the engine compartment and we were back on the road in 3 hrs. Service Adviser Gerald Donovan was great to work with, on the phone, and in person.
I saw the other posts with negative comments, but noted they were somewhat dated. I have used Cummins twice now, and have received excellent service both times.

Onan 7500 Quiet Diesel generator would not run.

We were at the last month of our three year warranty. The problem turned out to be that the coolant reservoir had a slow leak. Onan places that reservoir directly above the "controller". The controller houses all the electronics and the inverter that is part of the generator.
The coolant caused the controller to fail. The good news was that the controller was still under warranty. The bad news was that the coolant reservoir was not. Onan's position was that since the out of warranty reservoir caused the inverter to fail that I should be responsible for the entire repair.
I thought that was wrong since it was there faulty installation of the fitting that was leaking and their fault that their engineers put the controller directly under a fitting that can leak fluid.
Rocky Mountain Cummins went to bat for us and got Onan to agree to cover the entire repair under warranty.
The work performed by Rocky Mountain was first rate. The technician knew exactly what he was doing and had us up and running again in hours. Rocky Mountain Cummins went above and beyond in my mind.

Brand new coach began overheating due to cooling fan not cycling (bad sensor). Brought in Friday morning and was told coach would be diagnosed in couple hours. By close of business Friday coach has not been looked at. Was promised priority for Saturday morning and told we were only one of two jobs for that day. Saturday morning I was told no tech's showed-up for work so coach could not be worked on until Monday. We were stuck in motel w/pets for two extra nights since they were unable to get job done on time. It amazes me how this place stays in business. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

The generator, a 7500 Onan, is on a pull-out. I was told it could cost up to $1200.00 to R/R the unit to replace a water pump and a belt. Hour rates are $110 / hour and 2 hour minium. I'm thinking that it should take 2 hours to remove and replace, and maybe 2 hours at the very most to change the water pump and the belt. Got here on Monday 9:30 and was told maybe late today. This is not the place you want to break down for any reason.

Had "Engine Fault Warning" heading through Las Vegas on a Friday. Called Cummins immediately and said I needed the Code checked. They said they were too busy, bring it in first thing on Monday and they would check the code. I was first one in the door Monday morning.
Needless to say by Wednesday they were still telling me they "hadn't got to it yet" and didn't know when they could. It is not a Coach Care so I had to go to a hotel.
I told them they needed to be honest with their customers about estimates on service time and requested my motorhome back. Got my motorhome back and went up to SW Diesel in St. George, UT (great service-see file).
