  Date of Service:   11/4/2018
Work Done on:   Class A - Gasoline
Service Performed:   Broken Welds on coach. It has been
a repair many Open Roads have
needed. We knew we had one broken
but once on a hoist, they were able
to see more. They were professional
and did a great job. We even stayed
in their parking lot the night
before (at their suggestion) so we
wouldnt have to fight early a.m.
traffic for a 7:30 a.m. appt. Done
by noon and on our way!
Evaluation of Service Performed:   They were fair and thorough. The
repairs were more extensive than
originally thought but they showed
us everything in advance. We
recommend them without hesitation.

  Date of Service:   4/7/2017
Work Done on:   Class A - Gasoline
Service Performed:   Upon arriving in Mesa, AZ from Chicago for spring training the parking assistant at the park pointed out a problem with our
two front tires. Both had severe wear on the outer edges of both after just had 11,500-miles of road use. We ultimately had
both tires replaced and the alignment adjusted but we had added a Blue Ox TruCenter steering stabilizer to the coach prior to
leaving Chicago. I wanted to have that item examined to be sure it had been installed properly and was functioning as it
should. Call it covering all of my bases.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   I made an appointment at Cliff's Welding to have this work done because Cliff's is a Blue Ox dealer and also because we had
done business with Cliff's a few years ago.

Upon arriving at the appointed Time the tech took our coach for a test drive to establish a base line for the steering.
after returning the TruCenter was thoroughly examined and found to be correctly installed. We were in and out in about 90-
minutes.

Cliff's is an honest shop that provides great service at fair pricing.

Work Done on:   5th Wheel Trailer
Service Performed:   I've been using Cliff's Welding for several years now and have been totally satisfied with all the work that they have done. This past summer I had to
have some D-rings welded on a utility trailer that I had just finished rebuilding. I've had A/C installed on a toy hauler and various other work that
has been done. It was all done in a timely manner and at a reasonable price.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   This particualar job,...i was totally satisfied with the work that was done.

Work Done on:   Class A - Diesel
Service Performed:   Installation of HydraLift motorcycle lift system on Tiffin Phaeton tag motorcoach.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   Job was completed well on scheduled date. Spent night before hooked up to electric in their lot. HydraLift has worked very nicely for over a year without any service needed. No welding problems found and no damage to coach caused by welding on the chassis.

Work Done on:   5th Wheel Trailer
Service Performed:   Installation of a trailer pin-box
Evaluation of Service Performed:   Had Cliff's Welding install a trailer pin-box on my Montana in July of 06. I was instructed to bring in the fiver at 7 a.m. for the installation and it would take approximately. 1 hour. I arrived a 7 a.m. and got the fiver right in. I ended up talking with another customer in the waiting area and the next thing I knew it was 8:30. I asked about the progress and they told me it was taking a bit longer because they wanted to make sure the fiver was riding level. Sure enough, about 20 minutes later it was done and all level....can't complain about that. Overall, I was very pleased and will most likely return for future work on a bumper receiver hitch.

  Company Contact:   Jim Frick
Work Done on:   Medium Duty Truck
Service Performed:   I contacted Cliff's to install a B&W Turnover ball system with a 5th Wheel Companion on our new GMC 3500 SRW, plus a new Prodigy brake controller, and wire the bed for the 5th Wheel. They had been recommended to us by Beaudry in Mesa as a good shop to do the work.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   They were reasonable in their cost and could do the work with a two day notice. We set up the install and all went well until the day we were to pick up the truck. Jim called and said that they were having trouble with a bracket under the bed and after I reminded him that this was a 3500 not a 2500 as he thought, he called back and said that they had found the correct bracket and it would be ready on time. When we arrived the truck was ready, but there was no B&W paperwork. Jim said that they would send it to me when they found it (it arrived a week later). When I got home (50 miles) and had a chance to really inspect the installation, I found that the Companion was loose in the bed of the truck. B&W answered my email immediately and gave me all of the installation instructions and torque values of the system. I found that the hitch pin was not only installed improperly, it was torqued incorrectly too. I also found that of the 18 (3/4") nuts/bolts in the under bed system, two were finger tight and about to come off, 15 were not to correct torque (some way off), only one was at correct torque. Had I not re-checked the system after finding the Companion problem, I would hate to see what might have happened when we attempted to pull our new 5er. Now I'm wondering if the brake controller and wiring are correct! We will be picking up the new 5th Wheel next week, so will do a VERY good check of those systems too.
