We broke a rotating aluminum part that holds the awning over our bedroom slideout in place when rolled up and retracted. We
broke the part as we were leaving the Missoula Campground. After reading the reviews here on the available options for repair in Missoula, we chose to move on. We called Glacier RV Repair as soon as we got to Kailspell, MT. Andrew, the owner called us back quickly and directed us to very nice Campground in Columbia Falls, MT where he would come by later and meet with us, which he did. Andrew educated on what the part actually did and said he may have a replacement in his shop. This was Friday afternoon and he said he would be by on Saturday morning to fix it. Saturday morning, Andrew came by and said he did not have the part but had ordered it and it would arrive Monday. We moved to the next Campground nearer to Glacier NP. On Monday, we called Andrew, he said the part was in and we gave him our new location. That afternoon, Andrew came by with the replacement part, installed it and we tested the slideout mechanism. It was off just slightly. He made some adjustments to it and we tested it again and it worked like charm. |
