  Date of Service:   10/20/2009
  Company Contact:   Jeff
Work Done on:   5th Wheel Trailer
Service Performed:   Alignment of axles on fifth wheel trailer
Evaluation of Service Performed:   So far so good. The owner worked on the trailer, aligning both axles for toe and camber. He also had to reposition the front axle so that it was true with relation to the rear axle so that the space between tires was same left to right, as I understand it, he loosened U-bolts on one side of the trailer and shoved the axle forward or backward as there is some play there. He also balanced all four wheels, not spin balance, on the trailer, and in addition replaced one magnet clip that was dragging on one wheel and re-spliced a brake wire that had broken. Total bill was $475, which seems high. I've had the axles aligned for 1/2 this price in the past. With the extra work he did, I would expect a bill of $300 to $350. He seems to really know his stuff and does very good work, but his prices are steep!. Diamond RV in Hatfield recommended his shop to us to correct abnormal tire wear. I suggest getting an estimate from him before progressing with work. When I left the shop I stopped across the street and found the hubcaps were missing...he had forgotten to put them back on..lucky we stopped. When we left, I felt I had been taken advantage of a bit. I'll only go back if I'm in a real bind, otherwise I'll look for someone else in the area.
