Evaluation of Service Performed:   Horrible! We broke down Good Friday and when I called he said he
could look at our RV the beginning of the week. I asked if I should go
elsewhere since I wanted to know sooner than Monday what we
were looking at. He said everyone else is 2-3 weeks. Stupid stupid
me, had our RV towed there. Wednesday we finally found out it
would be a week for parts. So we rented a car and every day after
that had to call Howard everyday - many times a day to get
information. He lied to us, said our the parts were in, test drive tomorrow.
Ill call you. Nothing. Called him from several phones and he said
Shawn is putting the part in now. When we called him on it he got
indignant! Ford screwed up. Whatever! Fast forward- our RV would
be ready Tuesday 5/28. Yep almost 6 weeks later! Saturday his wife
told him Monday was a holiday so might not be until Wed. We drove
up there Wed evening and it wasnt ready! We finally left at 230-3pm
Thursday and got less than 40 miles and the transmission light
started blinking. Pulled over and called Howard multiple times before
he picked up. Shut off the engine so it will rest. That did not fix the
problem. So Howie will find us a ford dealership to check it out. We
kept him updated in our travel to Reno and today he said dont go
any further Until it is checked! Well we are in Junction TX and there
isnt much here Howie. DO NOT let him touch your vehicle. He
charged up more than he should of and cant be trusted. Oh and
going to test drive 49 miles he went 2-3 miles. He is a liar that cant
keep up with his stories

  Company Contact:   Howard Flowers
Work Done on:   Class A - Diesel
Service Performed:   Howard did a great job working with Spartan and Entegra getting a new radiator sent in and
authorization to replace it under warranty. Their work was flawless and they went the extra mile
to help with issues beyond their expertise. Wish I lived closer. (Two hour drive)

  Company Contact:   Howard Flowers
  Work Done on:   Class B
Service Performed:   Repair electrical switch and replace rooftop A/C. Took 10 days and cost over $2300. Over charged and took way too long.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   I had a small electrical problem while passing through Tallahassee, and called Howard Flowers of the Tallahassee RV & Truck Service as being the
closest RV repair shop to where I was at the time. Howard answered the phone and said, "Come on down and I'll get you fixed and back on the road." Once
I got there, it turned out I needed a new 12 volt electrical master switch, and a battery isolator to replace the parts that had broken on my van. However,
getting the parts was not simple, and it took several days for the parts to show up. Then Howard installed the new switch and all was good, except, while
waiting the 3 days for the parts to show up, i was living in my RV in Howard's shop. On day 3, my rooftop A/C broke down and stopped working. Howard
said he was a Dometic dealer and authorized service center and could get a new upgraded A/C from Dometic and get me going again promptly. That was
on Thursday.

He ordered the A/C from Dometic and it arrived a couple of days later. But Dometic sent the wrong thermostat for that model A/C and so Howard had to
arrange to get another thermostat, this time the correct one for this A/C. By this time, it was Tuesday and I'd been living in my RV in 90 degree heat since
Thursday with no A/C. Howard kept promising to get a portable A/C out of an RV he had on his property, but could not find the key so he could not get
into it so I sweltered in my A/C-less RV for 6 days and nights.

Finally, the correct thermostat arrived on Wednesday and Howard began installing it but had trouble figuring out the wiring so it took all that day and into
the next day to get it correctly installed and working. Then I went in to settle my bill with him. He charged me $500 for fixing the electrical master
switch, which seemed quite high for something I could have had at almost any other RV Repair shop for half that price. But that wasn't the real insult
added to injury. He charged me over $1800 for the new A/C (the A/C itself was $702 on the invoice, and the thermostat was about $150)

Because Howard could not figure out the wiring right away, and his helper mechanic knew less, he spent over 7-8 hours trying to get it working correctly.
Instead of charging me the standard labor book rate of about 2-3 hours (I checked with other Dometic service centers to get their labor charge for
installing this A/C on my RV), Howard charged me his standard shop labor rate of $79/hr times about 8 hours labor so my total bill for the master switch
and the A/C was $2310 total.

I asked around to other Dometic repair centers to find what they would have charged me and I found I'd over-paid by more than $500 to have the A/C
installed by Howard Flowers. I was told that Dometic provides a conversion kit to change from my old analog thermostat to the new digital one that was
required for the new A/C. With that conversion kit it is simply "plug and play" to swap the wiring to the new thermostat. Apparently, Howard did not get
the memo, nor the conversion kit. He struggled with it for hours, and then charged me for his ineptitude.

Howard over-promises everythiing and under-delivers most. He has his shop phone forwarded to his cell phone, and so he answers all calls himself. That
could be good, but many times he says, I'm under a truck right now and will call you back. He never ever returned a call that I saw. He certainly never
returned my calls to him and he certainly promised to call me right back many times. He made me, and other customers I spoke to, feel that he was right
on the job of fixing up our coaches, only they didn't get fixed in a timely manner and at 4:30pm Howard was out the door and gone home.

Clearly, I do not recommend Howard Flowers for getting your RV fixed if you can possibly help it. He takes longer than he promises, and charges you
for his time spent learning how to do the job he is supposedly certified to do.
