  Service Performed:   Oil change
Evaluation of Service Performed:   They put in an extra quart of oil and left the full cap off.
  Value of Service:   Poor
  Quality of Service:   Poor

  Company Contact:   Matt Cullen
Work Done on:   Class A - Gasoline
Service Performed:   A 65 mph vibration still existed after match-mounting and balancing tires to within normal Ford road force specs. Matt persisted and got replacement tires from Goodyear that solved that problem. I doubt other dealerships would have persevered and resolved the problem.
Evaluation of Service Performed:   Ive been in auto-related businesses for over 40 years and in my experience the quality of service at Gator stands out. Matt Cullen personally guided the efforts for this difficult-to-solve vibration issue on a new F53 chassis RV

  Date of Service:   3/19/2008
Company Contact:   Manny Tovar in Service
Work Done on:   Class A - Gasoline
Service Performed:   Vibrations at 35-45 and another at 65 mph.

Travis isolated the worst vibrations via an EVA test on the chassis, pulled all 6 wheels and indexed the ones that were over-spec. When two tires (Goodyear 19.5 70 series) still were out of spec, he replaced them, checked to make sure the new ones were within spec. and balanced all 6 tires.

On the drive home I was pleased to see that both vibrations were significantly reduced. Later, I asked Manny and Travis what else theyd recommend to more fully eliminate the vibration. They checked with Goodyear and Ford and were given the answer that I should put down the coach jacks when at rest to reduce flat-spotting, and that the tires will flat-spot less as they age. Ive written articles on both tires and balancing so Im suspicious of the latter answer, but I appreciate that Manny and Travis took the time to further consult with Goodyear and Ford.

(By comparison, I had to take my previous new RV back to the dealer, Lazy Days, six times for one significant low speed vibration and they never fixed it.)
Evaluation of Service Performed:   Very good. They are only allowed to bring tires up to Ford/Goodyear specs for road-force. Even their good equipment (e.g. Hunter GSP 9700) is not perfect for truck tires.

  Date of Service:   3/18/2008
Work Done on:   Class A - Gasoline
Service Performed:   My new RV had two issues with the F53 chassis: an engine noise and two separate road vibrations. Although the engine noise emanated from the hydrovac brake booster, the Gator tech, Travis diagnosed it as a defective power steering pump and replacing the pump greatly reduced the noise. (Our RV salesman Harry at Harberson, said the noise was the transmission and it was normal. NOT.)
