This airbag was replaced once or twice in Texas and then the airbag kept crushing and Redlands Truck and RV replaced it and the problem kept recurring. It had all of us frustrated and I wrote to Keith the owner and he said to bring it in and he would make it right! Well, it took longer than I would have liked but I rather it fixed properly and longer then just giving me lip service. Chris and Will worked their butts off trying to solve the problem and get a long term solution. They were very patient and kept me up to date on the progress. I finally picked my coach up last week. It was beautifully cleaned and ready for pick up. Chris was very attentive and they fixed the airbag problem and a few other things I didn't think they had fixed well enough the first time. Well, this time, they went all out and fixed the little things, and the big problem. I was very happy leaving and knowing that my coach is finally fixed properly.   Evaluation of Service Performed:   They put in new parts and went above and beyond with my pain in the butt awning and replaced my awning for me. All work has been completed with no call backs. Well, satisfied yes. Since, we are new to the full-time RV world, it would have been nice to be advised on some of the work they did. We would have liked a bit more details and visual inspection of their work. Perhaps, next time, I will ask for it. Nevertheless, RV Redlands work on our coach has allowed us to travel many thousands of miles. We will be back to CA in a few months and if anything needs to be done to our coach, we will definitely returned to them with a bit more experience under our belt. We did and still do appreciate their care of our coach and allowing to stay at their RV full-hookup small campground. Talking about work on our coach, we do need tires to be checked, balanced and alignment. I guess, all in all, RV Redlands did a great job! They were ready to begin work on our coach at the appointed time and they completed the work as projected. The cost was higher than planned because they needed to replace rear brake drums which they could not have known until they had it apart. They still had us finished within the outside projected time frame. Having their campground across the street with a comfortable waiting trailer makes it very easy to be there for an early start and a decent place to stay over when work is completed at 5:30 PM. You can�t get a straight answer because customer service and the tech were so used car salesman intent upon selling things you don�t want. Do technicians work on commission? I did get from the tech that one more thing needed to be done on the brakes. After thinking it over without their incessant sales pitch, the next morning, I canceled the remaining two repairs and asked for my bill. I was told the brakes and engine rattle were fixed and paid for those services. Customer service insisted (he actually sent someone to get my rig over my objection) that they get my rig to top off fluid levels and test drive it. I paid the bill and left when the driver brought my rig back. I immediately heard the engine rattle which is quite loud. No way the drive didn�t hear it and he never said a word. He did offer to clean my window. Thrill. Next morning I found my oil a quart low. I emailed the owners and they replied: � we're embarrassed that it didn't go as you had envisioned. We are, however, excited that you were at least able to spend a few nights as our guest in our ever popular, free, full hook up RV park� I have to admit, my �vision� didn�t include have to pay someone else to fix an engine rattle that I apparently paid them NOT to fix and check my brakes that I have no confidence in. I�m sure the $4K bill was worth it to park �free� for two nights. There is a point where dishonesty becomes criminal but it�s never prosecuted so what do you do? Gas space heater fixed, water pump replaced, added an electric plug for me, fixed non-working dead bolt lock, adjusted shower door, and fixed a crack in the shower enclosure, fixed a pocket door, and other cosmetic issues that my dealer should have taken care of.   Evaluation of Service Performed:   Everything was handled professionally and in a timely manner, as promised. I had to interrupt the repairs because I had a couple of camping reservations I did not want to cancel. Chris was great to work with me on this. This facility is customer driven, and I even got a thanks 'from his family' from one of the techs. I appreciate the fact that they cover everything, and even washed my front windows! So glad I came here, and didn't have to deal with the dealer again. This time we went to their shop for an alignment, valve stems, wheel balancing, and nitrogen in our nearly new tires.   Evaluation of Service Performed:   The work was all done in two days. We were able to stay in their full-service RV park the night before and the night after, in addition to the night while being serviced. It's great as full-timers to be able to stay in your home when you are getting work done. While the rig was actually in the shop, we could watch TV or do laundry in their customer lounge at the RV park. I can't say enough about owners Keith & Karen for making us feel welcome and making sure we had anything we needed while we were there. One of their employees, Dan, wouldn't let us leave in the morning unil he had cleaned our windsheild. The results of my conversations with the folks at Redlands RV, as well as what I saw during their interactions with other customers made me very comfortable with their service knowledge and quality. Great crew here. When I picked up coach, I was trying to look underneath the coach to view the new parts, but was hard to see. The water heater was working but there was no hot water from any faucet. We suspected it was the check valve and stated this at check in. After close to an hour of investigation the technician agreed with our assessment.   Evaluation of Service Performed:   The technician told us he was going to have to pull the water heater to access and replace the check valve. This same part was replaced about 15 months ago by a technician who did not pull the water heater. The total cost for that repair of the check valve was $50 (part and labor). The Redlands technician ended up replacing the check valve without pulling the water heater. This time the repair cost $250. Redlands Truck & RV were vendors at the rally. They came over, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part from Cummings in Riverside and replaced the part on Friday.   Evaluation of Service Performed:   The technician was extremely knowledgeable, quick to diagnosis the problem, retrieve the information for replacement and repair the problem with the new part. In addition Redlands Truck & RV attempted to assist me in recovering monies paid to them from Cummings, as our coach is still under warranty. They always make right on recommendations. I was referred to Redlands by Brazels RV Performance. Enroute, I had to battle to keep the motorhome in our lane of travel due to the winds and I lost the battle a few times. The front entrance door rattled so much that one would think it was going to pop open. This convinced me to also have Redlands install the Safe T Plus steering unit in addition to working on the door. Everyone at Redlands was very nice, helpful and patient with us (we kept asking them to look at this or that). Mike even looked up the recall and repair history on the unit without us asking. It was very informative and helpful. We were there for a few days and used their hookups out front to spend nights in our motorhome. They lent us their loaner SUV during the days plus we did our laundry in their customer wait room 'kitchen.' My wife was so appreciative, she cleaned the entire kitchen one day, and she loved the massage chair. At the end of the first day, Mike alerted us to a damaged radiator. The radiator and transmission cooler are integrated and the fitting on the radiator that connected the two was cracked. There was transmission fluid all over the place, what a mess. We couldn't wait around for this repair so we flew home, had to replace the radiator. We came back about two weeks later and a Redlands employee picked us up at the airport. Driving home, the unit performed and handled so much better and was so much more stable even in high winds. The door didn't rattle open either like it had been. Mike also told us that we have the only Workforce UFO chassis in the country with SUMO springs. The whole process of purchasing a motorhome out of state, getting it to California, having to fly back to Colorado, having to fly back to California and driving the motorhome back to Colorado was very stressful, to say the least. Our experience with Redlands in all this was a bright spot. However, given all the work done, there were some issues that had to be dealt with. Their final billing invoice had some errors that I had to point out to them, they installed new exhaust pipe turn down tips that I didn't order, they charged me for some items in the warranty repair that I shouldn't have been responsible for, and they repaired the bathroom vent dome motor when I told them not to do so if the repair wasn't covered by the warranty. I pointed out most of this and they fixed the final invoice, only charged me cost for the exhaust tips, they contacted the warranty company and got those other items covered, and I just let the bathroom vent item go. I just didn't bring it up as they had been so helpful, patient and nice and gave us such a good price on the SUMO springs. Of course, for the amount of money I paid for that repair, I could have bought a whole new fan and had it installed. I would like to pay compliments to Ronaldo, Mike, Karen, Keith (Office) and Dan, Joe, and Ken (Technicians) for a fantastic job of customer service. Koodos to you all. We arrived late afternoon on December 3rd and they held a spot for us on the street outside their service facility and we were able to get our drivers slides out for both evenings we were there. They also had a 50amp power source and water on the outside of the building for our use. We didn't park inside as they have guard dogs on site overnight. We were referred here by Jim Smith of Tiffin as our passenger side tag and outside dual had leaking oil seals. This was the second time unfortunately in 4 months for the same wheels. They replaced the seals under warranty. After talking with them during the repair they discovered a screw in one of the tires so they patched that and I decided to put nitrogen in all my tires on the coach and my tow vehicle. In doing so they also discovered that one of the inside duals had a defective air fill stem and it was partly crushed. They replaced this under warranty as well. I also had a radiator coolant leak and they tightened the lower hose and discovered while doing a pressure test that another hose going to the radiator also was leaking so they tightened that and pressure tested and that fixed the problem. This was also repaired under warranty. As part of their service program, prior to leaving their facility their service person (Ken) cleans the windshield and also cleans inside where they walked while driving the coach. We had asked them to look at it and tell us a price to adjust it and they had worked on it when they should not have but the biggest issue was we had bought 2 tires there and then bought 2 more at another dealer they charged us over 400 dollars to install the other dealer charged us 50.00 so check pricing before you have any work done at this dealer we spent over 8,000 dollars there and thought they were good but remember the after sale help did not exist. With the service just to get the estimate being so bad AND TAKING A WEEK TO GET, I was getting uneasy of this place. Then after a full week to get a estimate Keith said it "might" get done in two weeks. That's nearly a MONTH to repair a tank. So Keith wasted a week of my precious time where I could have taken it elsewhere and done quicker, instead Keith did nothing for a week. I picked up my RV and was glad I did not get any work done there. My last complaint is Keith suggested I put in front and read sway bars, well had Keith looked at my RV he would have seen I already have front and rear sway bars. I was pleased with the way that I was welcomed and treated throughout the two day process. They made a thorough inspection and found leaking exhaust header donuts and cracks in two coach to chassis mounts. The exhaust donuts were replaced and the pipes braced to prevent future problems. The mounts were welded and gusseted. These extra steps to prevent future problems indicates a well trained and skilled staff. During my inspection I noticed that a substitute had been used for Dex-Cool�.
