SERVICE CALL TO CAMPGROUND:
Beware of Holcomb Freightliner in Sioux City Iowa. This company will rip you off in a heart beat! I had a problem with the purge valve on my 2006 Allegro Bus, they quoted me a price of $1100.00. Called another Freightliner dealer, Eddie's in Rapid City SD, they fixed the same
problem for $166.00, huge difference. Holcomb also charged $400.00 for a service call to only travel 5 miles to the camp ground we were at and to do a quick fix to get us to their shop. Quick fix only took 15 minutes.
Please BEWARE!!! WITH A CHARGE OF $400.00, WHEN IT CAME TIME TO PAY THE BILL THEY TRIED TO TACK ON AN ADDITIONAL $50.00 NO CLUE WHAT THAT WAS FOR. FREIGHTLINER TECHS TRIED TO GET THEM TO LOWER CHARGES, BUT THEY REFUSED.

Diagnose why batteries showed fully charged and acted like they were discharged. Arranged for tow to shop.

Evaluation of Service Performed:
Duplicated my work - charged batteries while mechanic worked on a truck in next bay at $110 an hour. Padded tow bill (50 miles for $520). Tow company said that's not what they charged Holcomb. Another RV was leaving the shop and I overheard a mechanic say "There goes another unhappy RVer." Batteries found to be bad (6 months old). Bill was $1114.23. They obviously don't want RVers business.
